Mimi Mondal’s debut collection Other People is being published serially in India by Juggernaut Books. It follows the adventures of a group of social misfits, runaways, monsters, old ladies and other outsiders in an anachronistic version of early 20th century India, and can be read as single stories on the Juggernaut Books phone app.
Mimi’s stories have also appeared in Podcastle, Daily Science Fiction, WisCon Chronicles Vol. 9, and other publications. She is the recipient of the Octavia E. Butler Scholarship for the Clarion West Writing Workshop in 2015, and the Poetry with Prakriti Prize in 2010.
Professionally, Mimi is trained as an editor, having worked with Penguin Books India between 2012 and 2013, and been a Commonwealth Scholar in Publishing Studies at the University of Stirling, Scotland between 2013 and 2015.
